  • 2nd Anniversary Party 2-25-2001

Another great time was had at Geraghty’s Pub in Burlington, New Jersey last night. The guys from 3beersgone were there. We were celebrating our second year anniversary of the web site and the group of the same name.
What a night! Ken, the owner of this beer bar treated us right this night – as he always does. Peg, his beautiful wife and co-owner was not there that night. I do have to mention that PEG is the most important person [...]

  • Sampler Fun 2

This time the 12 pack was from Ipswich Ale, Mass.
The 4 beers in this pack were:
Original Ale – I found this so so.
    IPA – Not bad.
Oatmeal Stout – Very good stout.
Dark Ale – A smooth, robust dark beer. Very good stuff. Buy this in a 6 pack.

  • Sampler Fun!

Picked up a few 12 packs of sampler beer. I was not disappointed with the 12 pack from Smuttynose Brewing Co. out of New Hampshire. Old Brown Dog is always a solid pick, but I was blown away by the Shoals Pale Ale! Very close to an IPA, but not over the top. Try this one out!

  • Red Nectar

Wow. There is one beer that I had this summer that was incredible. I want it on tap right now. Hell, I had it in a bottle is it was great. I couldn’t imagine it on tap!  I highly recommend trying Red Nectar from Nectar Ales, California. This beer stands out, very unique. It is a red ale, but instead of the common malty taste of such a beer this brew was filled with California hoppyness. Yet, it wasn’t over [...]

  • Great Beer Lable – Terrible Beer!

I picked up a mix of 6 beers at my local Joe Canal’s Liquor Store. Not a bad deal, pick 6 different beers out and see what you like.  There is no bother in buying a six pack of beer to find out that you are not crazy with your selection of six pack.
One of these beers was Ed Hardy Premium Beer. The label on the bottle is great looking. The label features a Bangle tiger, open mouth, sharp teeth [...]

  • Blast from the past beer.

Oh how I remember the fear of the elephant. Just like it was yesterday, I recall being a young buck drinking my Molson Golden at a high school party, just sitting pretty. Then, along came Ron Holliday toting a strange looking beer with an elephant on the label.   What the hell is this senior drinking? All I was told by him, “You can’t handle this shit, it will fuck you up!” I heeded his warning and did not try it, [...]
