  The Garden State Craft Brewers Guild 14th Annual Beer Festival was a blast as always.

  The selection of beers to choose from was phenomenal. Ranging from basic lagers to barleywine.

• Beer n’ Bacon Mac & Cheese

  This Recipe was the winner of Philly Beer Scene’s Beer Geek Brunch recipe contest back in March.  I thought it sounded delicious and wanted to share it.
  Beer n’ Bacon Mac & Cheese
  Ingredients:
  1 & 1/2 cups large macaroni
  2 tsp. salt
  2 tbsp. butter
  1 tbsp. light olive oil
  1 large shallot, finely minced
  3 tb all purpose flour
  2 cups whole milk
  8 oz. shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
  1/2 cup stout beer
  6 slices cooked this bacon, crumbled into 1″ chunks
  2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  1 tsp. garlic powder
